On the shelf

In the order they happened, from the first man to the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ. New stories reach the app without an app update.

  • The Story of Adam عليه السلام

The first man, and the first story on the shelf. Its four books come with the app.

  • Nabi Musa عليه السلام

Four stories, from a baby carried by the river to the sea that parted.

  • Sulaiman عليه السلام, the Ant and the Hoopoe

From Surah an-Naml: an ant that warned its people, and a hoopoe with news.

  • The Boy and the King

The People of the Ditch, from Surah al-Buruj and a hadith in Sahih Muslim.

  • The Life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

A numbered series, in order, from the Year of the Elephant to his farewell.

  • The Companions

Anas, Ibn Abbas, Abu Hurayrah and more, from adh-Dhahabi's Siyar A'lam an-Nubala'.

How we make them

Every book is checked line by line against its sources before it reaches the app.

  • Only what the sources say

Each line comes from the Quran, authentic hadith and books written by the ulama of Ahlus Sunnah, such as Ibn Kathir, adh-Dhahabi and the classical books of sirah. We simplify; we never invent. Where the sources are silent, the book is silent.

  • The Quran, recited

Ayat appear whole, in Uthmani script, recited by Sheikh Abdul Rahman as-Sudais. Never a computer voice, never cut short.

  • We draw the world, not the prophets

Prophets and angels are never drawn. The pictures show places, plants, water, light and animals, and no one is shown with a face.

  • No music

Children hear narration, recitation and the sounds of the world: wind, water, birds, footsteps. Nothing else.

  • Offline, with no ads

Once a book is on the phone it works without the internet. No ads, no tracking and no links out of the book.

  • Read by a person first

Every page and every quiz is read beside its sources by our reviewer before a book is published.

For parents

Made for children to use on their own, with the grown-up parts kept for grown-ups.

  • Start without an account. Adam's four books come with the app and need no account and no internet.
  • A free account for more stories. A grown-up signs up with a code sent by email. Sign-up sits behind a press-and-hold step for grown-ups.
  • Nothing about your child. We never collect their name, their age or what they read. Reading progress stays on the phone.
  • Yours to keep. Downloaded books stay on the device to read offline. You can delete the account at any time, in the app or on the web.
